UK Student Visa Processing Times Updated for 2025: What Bangladeshi Students Need to Know

The UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) has officially published updated guidance regarding decision wait times for Student Visa applications submitted from Bangladesh for the upcoming 2025 academic intakes.

1. Standard Processing Timeline

Under normal volume, standard Student Visa (formerly Tier 4) processing takes approximately 15 working days (3 weeks) once your biometric appointment at VFS Global Dhaka or Chittagong is complete. However, during peak intake periods (July–September & November–January), processing can stretch up to 4–5 weeks.

2. Priority & Super Priority Services

• Priority Visa Service: Decision within 5 working days from biometric submission. Extra UKVI fee applies.
• Super Priority Visa Service: Decision within 24 hours (1 working day). Available at selected VFS centers subject to daily slot quota.

3. Key Advice for Bangladeshi Applicants

Ensure your 28-day bank financial statement is strictly intact until the CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) is issued and visa application is submitted online. Any sudden drop below the required tuition + maintenance funds threshold will lead to automatic refusal under Paragraph 245.
